On May 16th, 2009 Middlebrook Gardens is hosting a special discount day for California Native Plant Society members, and they will also be giving two free lectures each day. The first lecture is at 10 am, and the second will be at 2 pm. The lecture is open to the public. A 10 % discount will be offered to CNPS and CNGF members on all plant
purchases on these days.


10 AM Lecture: Southern California Plant Communities
Description: In depths look at garden worthy Southern California species. We will examine the extraordinary palette of Southern California plants that can be suitable for Bay Area gardens.

2 PM Lecture: 35 Ways to Garden for the 21st Century
Description: Middlebrook will discuss 35 different ways you can make an environmental impact in the way you garden at home. There are many alternatives to traditional gardening that will reduce your carbon footprint.

Cost: Lectures are free; Middlebrook Gardens Nursery will be open from 9-3 offering CNPS and CNGF members 10% discount on all plant purchases. From now on all card-holding members of CNGF & CNPS will recieve 10% of all plant purchases any time.
